It’s past time to End the SNAP Ban in Nebraska and our lawmakers need to hear it!
✅ LB319, a bill to end Nebraska’s lifetime SNAP ban for people convicted of felony drug convictions, will be up on General File debate as early as this week.
LB319 would…
- Get more kids more food by adding banned parents back into their SNAP household,
- End the double punishment of completing a sentence but still being banned from SNAP for life,
- Reduce recidivism by helping people get what they need to live,
- Support more farmers, ranchers and grocers as SNAP adds to local economies.
As Vernon says in the video above, “Everybody has the right to change their life.” Even people with drug convictions.
