JOURNEY TO SUCCESS ADVOCACY FELLOWSHIP

NEBRASKA APPLESEED IS EXCITED FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO JOIN US AS A JOURNEY TO SUCCESS ADVOCACY FELLOW

This paid fellowship is open to young people 19 and above with Foster Care or Juvenile Justice experience!

This fellowship will focus on federal policy advocacy around the issues young people face in supportive services, health, education, and housing. Fellows will get the opportunity to learn more about federal policy advocacy that will build up to an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. to advocate and educate members of Congress on critical issues that you identify as important.

Fellows will gain experience working in a nonprofit advocacy organization focused on child welfare and juvenile justice reform and support for older youth who are aging out of these systems. Fellows will be able to build and strengthen skills, and explore their interest in advocacy by connecting with other Nebraska Appleseed staff, community members, and organizations and participating in professional development and training.

No matter what your experience is with advocacy you are encouraged to apply!

The application is closed but check this page often to stay up to date and follow along their journey.

This fellowship is compensated at $15/hour.

Please email, text or call Schalisha Walker at swalker@neappleseed.org or (402) 218-1848 with any questions about the application or fellowship.
