Too many Nebraskans face real struggles to have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
Appleseed’s systemic, multi-issue, cross-strategy approach is so unique and effective in combating many of the issues that cause these struggles.
Appleseed is committed to finding a better way to advance justice for all Nebraskans while centering the voices, lived experience, and advocacy of those who are most affected in rural and urban communities across the state.
One of the ways we’ve been able to do that year-after-year is through ballot initiatives. It’s an important tool because they give Nebraskans like us an opportunity to vote directly on issues we care about. In the Paid Sick Leave For Nebraskans campaign, Nebraskans are playing an important role ensuring their friends and neighbors can take care of themselves and their families when they’re sick.
It’s a total community effort, fueled by amazing coalition partners, big-hearted contributors, volunteers, and community leaders who share their stories, give their time, and care about making Nebraska a better place for all workers and their families.
