All Medicaid Expansion Enrollees Start Receiving Full Benefits TODAY! 🎉

Nebraskans sent a clear message when voters approved the Medicaid expansion ballot initiative in November 2018. Nebraskans value keeping our neighbors, family members, and friends healthy. Medicaid expansion was always intended to provide comprehensive health care coverage, and nearly three years after the ballot initiative, it finally will. 

Starting today, ALL Nebraskans enrolled in Medicaid expansion will have access to full Nebraska Medicaid benefits, including vision, dental, and over-the-counter drug coverage!

For years, we have advocated alongside our communities for Medicaid expansion coverage through state legislative efforts, the ballot initiative, administrative advocacy, and litigation. These efforts played a significant role in getting where we are today.  

So far, over 51,000 Nebraskans have enrolled in Medicaid expansion coverage, but an additional 38,000+ are estimated to be eligible.
