Long Distance Advocacy Workshop

04/06/2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Every Nebraskan should be able to make their voice heard on issues they care about. However, we know that for folks who live further from Lincoln or who lack reliable transportation, it can be hard to know how to make a difference on issues that affect our state.

Join us on April 6 at 6:30 pm for a virtual workshop covering multiple ways you can advocate for the issues you care about when you can’t make it to the Capitol building.

Register online.

This workshop will offer:

  • Tried and true techniques we’ve used to raise awareness and build support on issues you care about
  • Options and strategies for contacting your senators
  • Opportunities to learn from each other’s knowledge and experience with advocacy

We hope you can join us for this conversation! Please contact mhamann@neappleseed.org if you have any questions or challenges registering.

This event is the first of a series in partnership with Nebraska Poor People’s Campaign, Civic Nebraska, Nebraska Interfaith Power & Light all centered around strengthening community members’ advocacy capacity. Look out for upcoming opportunities here!
