The Neec Bowyer Good Trouble Fellowship, hosted by Nebraska Appleseed, honors the life and work of the late Denise “Neec” Bowyer who fought tirelessly to improve working conditions, ensure dignity in the workplace, and protect the civil rights of all people. Neec had a passion for equity, justice, and love. She worked as a union organizer with migrant farmers in Texas, sat as a Senior Member of the National Labor Relations Advisory Board, and championed the rights of meatpacking workers, among many other efforts for justice. Her life’s work was dedicated to the hope of a better world and better tomorrow.
Your contribution to the Neec Bowyer Good Trouble Fellowship fund will help provide a young adult with first-hand experience with full-time social justice advocacy work connected to improving the lives of working Nebraskans and advancing economic justice.
