Appleseed Statement on Legislature’s decision not to advance LB 472
LINCOLN — Today, Nebraska Appleseed Executive Director Rebecca Gould released the following statement on the Legislature’s decision not to advance LB 472 – the Medicaid Redesign Act.
“Today’s vote was another disappointing outcome for the more than 77,000 Nebraskans who cannot afford health coverage,” Gould said. “Failing to advance this bill means Nebraska will continue to turn away billions of federal dollars that would improve our health care system and spur the economy. Every day we go without a solution means more Nebraskans cannot get the health care they need. We challenge the Legislature and the Governor to come up with a solution to this problem. It cannot continue to be ignored.”
