Appleseed urges Legislature to pass LB 472 to close coverage gap
Medicaid Redesign Act would enhance healthcare access, boost economy
LINCOLN — Today, Nebraska Appleseed Executive Director Rebecca Gould released the following statement in support of LB 472, which is scheduled be debated by the Legislature Wednesday afternoon.
“Our senators have the chance to make the right decision for the health of our people and the strength of our economy by voting “Yes” to pass LB 472,” Gould said. “It’s past time for us to close this coverage gap that has left almost 77,000 Nebraskans unable to afford health coverage. We can bring our tax dollars home to modernize our health care system, support jobs and economic growth, and create a healthier Nebraska with LB 472. I urge the Legislature to pass this critical bill.”
