Join Nebraska Appleseed as a Journey to Success Advocacy Fellow!

This paid fellowship is open to young people 19 and older with Foster Care or Juvenile Justice experience.

Journey to Success Advocacy Fellows will focus on federal policy advocacy around the issues young people face in supportive services, health, education, and housing. Fellows will have the opportunity to learn more about federal policy advocacy that will build up to an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. to advocate and educate members of Congress on critical issues identified by our fellows.

Fellows will gain experience working in a nonprofit advocacy organization focused on child welfare and juvenile justice reform, and support for older youth who are aging out of these systems.

Fellows will also be able to build and strengthen skills, as well as explore their interest in advocacy by connecting with other Nebraska Appleseed staff, community members, and organizations and participating in professional development and training.

No matter what your experience is with advocacy, you are encouraged to apply!

This fellowship is compensated at $15/hour. Applications are due August 9.

Please email, text or call Schalisha Walker at swalker@neappleseed.org or (402) 218-1848 with any questions about the application or fellowship.
