We know tens of thousands of Nebraskans are among the millions of Americans who can now get quality, affordable health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.
For the first time ever, thousands of Nebraskans have good insurance that covers prescription medicines and life-saving preventive care, and they can’t be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. But Congress could vote just after the New Year to roll back these protections.
Will you stand up for quality health coverage today? Tell Nebraska’s members of Congress they can’t repeal the Affordable Care Act without an immediate replacement plan that protects these life-changing improvements in health coverage.

We also ask you to send this to three or four friends who would also make this important call. Speak to our officials’ staff members or leave a message. Tell them repealing the ACA without a replacement plan would send our health insurance market into a tailspin, and millions could lose their insurance.
Remind Senators of the health care protections Nebraskans now enjoy:
- People with pre-existing conditions can get covered
- Women are charged the same amount for coverage as men
- Young Nebraskans can stay on their parents’ plans until age 26
- Plans must cover prescription drugs
Congress could cast a vote as early as the first week of January to end these protections. We can’t lose these advancements or let 20 million Americans – including the 84,000 Nebraskans who bought coverage through the Marketplace last year – lose their health insurance.
Take Action
Please call our Senators and your U.S. Representative today and tell them not to vote to repeal the ACA without a replacement. Any steps taken by Congress must improve the affordability and quality of coverage for consumers, not roll them back.
