You may have heard that today is “Giving Tuesday.” It’s a great way to give back to our communities during the holiday season.
It’s a simple idea: We have one day for giving thanks yet two for getting shopping deals. Shouldn’t we have more days focused on giving to our communities?
Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back and finding a way for your family, your community, your company, or your organization to come together to give something more.
Your gift will help us in the coming year as we work to:
- Close the coverage gap that leaves over 54,000 working Nebraskans uninsured.
- Pass common-sense immigration laws that keep families united.
- Strengthen our child welfare system so all young people have a healthy start to adulthood.
- Improve the ACCESS Nebraska public benefit processing system so families can access food assistance and other important safety net programs in a timely manner.
Then, I encourage you to tell everyone about how you are giving on social media by using the hashtag #GivingTuesday.
