Today, 33 senators once again disrespected Nebraska voters by advancing ❌LB415 (Ballard) through its second round of debate.
LB415 would remove paid sick leave protections from 140,000 hardworking Nebraskans by:
- Exempting several groups of workers from receiving paid sick leave, including seasonal and temporary agricultural workers, and workers under the age of 16;
- Exempting businesses with 10 or fewer employees from having to provide paid sick leave; and
- Removing important protections for workers who face retaliation from their employers for using paid sick leave.
This bill also blatantly disregards the will of Nebraskans, who overwhelmingly passed paid sick leave for ALL workers last November via Initiative 436.

- If they voted NO on LB415, please thank them for respecting the will of Nebraska voters – and for standing up for hardworking Nebraskans.
- If they voted YES on LB415, please ask them to OPPOSE this bill when it’s up for Final Reading.
Because ❌LB415 overturns the will of Nebraska voters, it will require 33 yes votes to pass on Final Reading. It’s important that we make our voices heard NOW – because NO Nebraskan should have to face the impossible choice of taking care of their health or missing a paycheck.
