You’re Invited – Take Your Place at the Table

photo_09In the 1970’s the United States had nearly wiped out hunger in our country.  So, why are almost 50 million Americans struggling with hunger today?  Why are more than 23.5 million kids and teenagers overweight or obese? What triggers and connects these trends?

Come to a free showing of “A Place at the Table” and join a community conversation about hunger issues in Nebraska.  This award-winning film shows us how hunger poses serious economic, social and cultural implications for our nation, and that it could be solved once and for all, if the American public decides — as they have in the past — that making healthy food available and affordable is in the best interest of us all.
