Appleseed Statement on DREAMers driver’s license bill
Advancing LB 623 is another step forward for young immigrant Nebraskans
LINCOLN — This morning, Nebraska Appleseed Executive Director Rebecca Gould released the following statement on the Legislature’s vote to advance LB 623 on General File.
“Today’s vote shows the large majority of State Senators recognize the valuable contributions DREAMers make to Nebraska communities and our state,” Gould said. “We thank the senators who supported the bill and stood up for the hard-working, talented young people who will only increase their contributions to Nebraska if this bill is passed. We encourage the Legislature to move this bill quickly through the final two rounds of debate and send it to the Governor’s desk.”
