Nebraska Is Home to Summer Festivals Celebrating Many Cultural Traditions

Nebraska is alive through the summer with festivals where arts and traditions that give us pride in our heritage can be shared with friends and neighbors.

Last weekend’s Omaha Heritage Festival offered a way for neighbors to meet one another and share music, food, and friendship from countries around the world.

For generations, Omaha and communities throughout Nebraska have celebrated the richness of their diversity with such festivals. Organizers with leadership and vision invite us to help create a culture of inclusiveness, respect, and growth by embracing dynamic and changing communities. Communities are strongest when everyone who lives in them feels welcome and connected.

Grab the opportunity this summer to celebrate our state’s many cultural traditions and learn about the heritage of the people who make Nebraska home.
