A new report released recently by the Urban Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation breaks down exactly which demographics will benefit from the Medicaid expansion. The state-by-state analysis suggests that 15.1 million Americans could gain coverage if the Medicaid expansion is fully implemented.
In Nebraska, that’s 78,000 people that make less than 138% of the federal poverty level who would be newly eligible. This study is another clear indicator that expanding Medicaid would provide needed medical care access to thousands of Nebraskans.
