We’re incredibly excited to work with Lindsay Limbach (she/her/hers) as the new Organizing Director for Appleseed! She’ll be leading our grassroots relationship-building and engagement efforts across all of our programs to fight for a more just society. Previously, Lindsay was a Family/Neighborhood Engagement Specialist with the Community Learning Centers, Lincoln Public Schools.
“I had the opportunity to work with our 29 CLCs assisting, supporting, and coaching Coordinators and Parents/Caretakers in the areas of Families and Neighborhoods. I attended and assisted with family nights (both virtual and in-person), supported and attended Community Cafes and School/Neighborhood Advisory Committee meetings, collaboratively planned and hosted workshops and trainings, worked with youth and adults, alike, in helping them discover and put to action their skills, strengths and ideas, and much more.
I’ve always admired Appleseed as a Community Partner and active neighbor. I’ve appreciated their knack for building relationships with the community, actively and intentionally listening to what the community wants and envisions, and collaborating alongside and/or uplifting the community to put those wants and visions into action.”
In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys road trip adventures, crochet, cross-stitch, reading, and loves going to community and sporting events (ask Lindsay about Nebraska Volleyball). She’s also civically engaged in her own community, is on the board of NeighborWorks Lincoln, and even hosts a Little Free Pantry! Please help us welcome Lindsay to Appleseed! You can reach her at llimbach@neappleseed.org.
