Help us welcome Noel Tonniges (she/her/hers) to the Appleseed Team! Noel is a Temporary Campaign Organizer for Nebraska Appleseed for the Paid Sick Leave ballot initiative.
Previously, Noel has worked to advocate for a variety of Public Health initiatives, from reproductive rights to ALS research. She started in October 2023, organizing statewide to work with impacted communities to improve working conditions for all Nebraskans.
To Noel, ballot initiatives are an empowering exercise of Nebraska’s democratic systems, allowing all Nebraskans to make their voices heard. She most enjoys the hands-on process of speaking to and educating voters about their rights.
Noel is passionate about the intersection of health and politics, making sure that all people have the opportunity to make the safest and healthiest decisions for themselves and their families.
