Help us welcome Gabriel Long Soldier (he/him/his) to the Nebraska Appleseed team!
Gabriel is joining us as Program Associate and will provide support to Appleseed’s program and strategy directors by leading the administration of our intern and law clerk programs, organizing and supporting Appleseed projects, and so much more.
Gabriel was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska but spent his summers in South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation. He graduated from college with a degree in Business Administration and currently serves as both a Teammates mentor and coach to his oldest daughter’s soccer team.
“I grew up watching my mom donate her time to the improvement of Indigenous People of Nebraska. I’ve always wanted the opportunity to do the same, and I’ve found that in Nebraska Appleseed. I’m excited to work with this great team and contribute in any way to building up our communities across the state.”
Just like you, Gabriel understands the value of investing in our communities. When Gabriel isn’t coaching soccer or working towards a stronger Nebraska, you can find him hiking, training for marathons, or disc golfing with his wife and three children.
