Note: Each summer, Nebraska Appleseed is fortunate to work with a number of bright, talented law clerks and interns. This is one of a series of posts that feature Appleseed’s clerks and interns discussing their backgrounds and experiences.

Name: Victoria Rosenboom

Position: Fellow

Hometown: Ashland, Nebraska

About Victoria: Victoria is a senior at Nebraska Wesleyan University, studying political science and math. She also has spent a semester studying in Ghana and volunteering with an AIDS foundation.

Why Appleseed?: “I found out about Nebraska Appleseed when I was interning in Washington, D.C. at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. I started looking at Nebraska Appleseed’s website and really liked everything they were doing.  That’s how I found out about the fellowship position. I hope to gain a greater understanding of how Nebraska politics work, and also learn more about adult education and training policies.”

Future Plans: “I would like to do policy analysis, particularly how policy affects low-income individuals and families. I’m studying for the GRE right now, so I suppose I’ll go to grad school, maybe I’ll work a year or two first.”
