Medicaid Community Event

Five registrars, Two walk-in community members. Two of the registrars, two walk-in community members, and two health care team volunteers attended, in addition to four Appleseed staff. 2) In-person, in North Omaha at the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation, 3)HCAP Medicaid Unwind and Renewal process presentation, Appleseed Fliers, FAQ sheet, and Cross organizational Materials 4) Historically underserved and under-resourced communities of North Omaha. Community engagement & feedback/opportunities, relationship building with marginalized communities, providing important Medicaid change materials, promoting HCAP, Intersectional teams, and Community Assistance line.

Medicaid renewals have restarted, and for the first time in years, people with Medicaid could lose their coverage as DHHS conducts renewals. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has identified at least 145,000 Nebraskans that may be at risk of losing their coverage.

Please come join us for an in-person community presentation and conversation at the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation about important Medicaid changes! This event is an opportunity to learn more about these changes and the renewal process, who it may impact, and what a person can do to prepare.

Everyone who registers and attends the duration of the conversation will have a chance to have their name entered into a drawing to win a $40 gift card for Walmart. We will also be serving refreshments and beverages.

Please remember registration is needed so we can make sure we have enough food for everyone. Registration deadline is April 19th.
