• Meat and poultry processing lines move at dangerously fast speeds, threatening food and worker safety.
  
  
• The new rule proposed by the USDA will increase line speed, giving inspectors only 1/3 of a second per bird to look for fecal contamination and other defects.
  
  
• The new poultry rule will raise the likelihood of contaminated chicken on our plates. It will also contribute to crippling repetitive motion injuries in poultry plant workers.
  
  
• 1/3 of a second isn’t enough to protect food and worker safety.
