SUMMARY:Justice Reimagined: A Community Conversation
DESCRIPTION:To end the cycles of incarceration\, we must be open to having hard conversations\, especially when Black and Brown communities are the most impacted\, but the ones not often invited to the table. \nThat’s why we’re co-hosting another community conversation with our friends at RISE: to uplift the voices of those who have been incarcerated and impacted by changes brought to the justice system. \nCome learn about how new laws in Nebraska may impact those who are currently incarcerated or have been incarcerated. \nAll are welcome to this community conversation! We hope you’ll join us as we come together to hear from those with lived experience – and those who have been second-hand impacted by the incarceration of a loved one. \nRegister

SUMMARY:Demystifying Health Care Access in Our Nebraska Communities
DESCRIPTION:Let’s talk about health\, resources\, and community well-being. \nOn Saturday\, April 27\, we’ll be with our friends and partners at 3Sisters for an honest community conversation about health care resources available to you\, and to discuss strategies for enhancing overall health and wellness in our communities. \nWhy “Demystifying”? \nDemystifying health care access involves breaking down the barriers that prevent individuals from obtaining the medical services they need. This can include improving awareness about available resources\, ensuring affordability\, and promoting inclusivity for all members of society. By increasing transparency around health care options\, reducing stigma associated with seeking help\, and advocating for policies that prioritize accessibility\, we can work towards a healthcare system that is more equitable and responsive to the needs of everyone. \nCome be a part of this meaningful conversation! Together\, we can foster healthy environments that cultivate thriving communities.
