Appleseed welcomes ICP community organizer Federico T. Vicente

Federico T. Vicente joined our team as a Community Organizer with our Immigrants & Communities Program this year! Federico’s pronouns are he/him/his.

As a community organizer, Federico works on coordinating grassroots, community-driven advocacy and engagement efforts to develop targeted solutions to community issues including the development of policy, legal solutions, and organizing. He’s excited to engage with communities throughout Nebraska on developing grassroots-driven advocacy groups to have an accurate count in the Census 2020 and motivating Nebraskans to get out the vote.

He earned a Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Creighton University in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Syracuse University. Before joining our team, he worked with the Committee as a community organizer for The Salvation Army’s Fight to End Trafficking Program (SAFE-T).

On Federico’s free time, he enjoys hiking, listening to music, cooking, learning new languages, and traveling, especially when the beach is involved! You can reach him at fvicente@neappleseed.org
