Kasey Ogle joined us this summer as our staff attorney for Collective Impact Lincoln, a collaborative project with Civic Nebraska and South of Downtown. Kasey graduated from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Criminal Justice, and continued on to receive her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
“I knew I wanted to join Nebraska Appleseed after clerking here during law school. I had the opportunity to help advocate on issues like predatory lending practices, healthcare access, and employment and training initiatives. Being a part of the work Appleseed does was really rewarding, and that experience solidified for me that I ultimately wanted to be a public interest lawyer,” said Kasey. “Appleseed’s unique approach to the systemic problems Nebraskans are facing every day excites me and inspires me to think creatively about big issues that have a real impact on people.”
Kasey grew up in Webb City, Missouri, but has called Lincoln home since 2015.
“As the staff attorney for Collective Impact Lincoln, I get to work on issues directly affecting the quality of life of Lincolnites. I am really excited about being able to give back to my chosen community in this way.”
Kasey enjoys spending time with her dog Gracie, enjoys going to concerts, painting, and reading. Welcome, Kasey!
