Today, 34 senators, blatantly disregarded the will of Nebraska voters – who overwhelmingly passed paid sick leave for ALL workers last November – by advancing LB415 (Sen. Beau Ballard), including a harmful amendment (X AM545) that:
- Exempts several groups of workers from receiving paid sick leave, including seasonal and temporary agricultural workers, and workers under the age of 16;
- Exempts businesses with 10 or fewer employees from having to provide paid sick leave; and
- Removes important protections for workers who face retaliation from their employers for using paid sick leave.

- If they voted NO on LB415, please thank them for respecting the will of Nebraska voters – and for standing up for working Nebraskans.
- If they voted YES on LB415, please ask them to OPPOSE this bill next time it’s up for debate. Because NO Nebraskan should have to face the impossible choice of taking care of their health or missing a paycheck.
