Let’s honor contributions made by DACA community members by calling on Congress for permanent solutions!
I wanted to invite you to join us via Zoom on Monday, June 15 to commemorate the 14th Anniversary of DACA by contacting Congress and urging them to provide a permanent solution for longtime community members!
Join us for a brief conversation about DACA’s 14-year legacy, the growing threats facing immigrant communities today, and the permanent solutions Congress can enact, followed by a simple action you can take alongside others across Nebraska.
At a time when DACA protections continue to be stripped away and immigrant communities face growing uncertainty, we cannot afford further delays from Congress.
Join us on Monday, June 15 at whatever time works best for you!

This year marks 14 years of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) – and 25 years since the DREAM Act was first introduced!
Thousands of Nebraskans with DACA have built their lives here for decades, and continue to contribute important talents to local communities as teachers, health care workers, community leaders, parents, and many other roles.
DACA was meant to be a temporary policy to give Congress time to pass permanent legislation. Instead, Congress has failed to act while DACA has been repeatedly challenged and gradually dismantled, leaving hundreds of thousands of longtime community members across the country in uncertainty.
At the same time, we are witnessing unprecedented levels of funding for ICE violence and a ballooning federal agent force overwhelming local communities and local law enforcement. Rather than investing in solutions that keep families together and strengthen our communities, Congress continues to delay permanent solutions for people who have called this country home for decades.
We cannot wait any longer.
Let’s honor the contributions and leadership of DACA community members by calling on Congress to finally deliver permanent solutions.
Please join us on Monday at whichever time works best for you to make a quick call to Nebraska members of Congress. We will walk through taking the action together – no prior experience or expertise necessary.
Please invite your friends and family – all are welcome!
