It seems like only yesterday, Nebraskans from all over the state were advocating for Nebraska’s governor to participate in Summer EBT, a new program that provides $120 in benefits to help feed kids during summer.
It’s now October and your advocacy not only convinced the governor to adopt the program, but the full program has been successfully completed!
This summer…
- Nebraska provided just under 200,000 Summer EBT issuances (175,000 were projected). That’s nearly 200,000 kids and families!
- That equates to $24 million in grocery benefits to support kids and local economies.
