Join us on September 22, 2011 for Nebraska Appleseed’s 15th anniversary event, the Good Apple Awards, and celebrate Appleseed’s fifteen years of sowing the seeds of justice across the Great Plains.
At the Good Apple Awards we will recognize outstanding Nebraskans’ contributions to equal justice and full opportunity for all and celebrate the stories of people’s lives positively changed by Appleseed’s victories in the courts, at the legislature, and in the community.
This year, Nebraska Appleseed will honor John Cavanaugh, Executive Director of Building Bright Futures, with the Jim Wolf Equal Justice Award in recognition of his advocacy for children’s health and education and his career-long concern for the common good.
Nebraska Appleseed will honor two attorneys with theSeeds of Justice Award, Torri A. Criger of Husch Blackwell LLP and Daniel A. Hill of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, in recognition of their pro bono contributions to advance the rights of children in foster care.
We will also honor an unsung grassroots community advocate with the inaugural Roots of Justice Award. Read more about the award and nominate someone you know today!
