Please join us in welcoming our newest Child Welfare Youth Fellows, Neva and Tyeisha, to Nebraska Appleseed!
Uplifting and creating opportunities for advocacy and support for older youth is an important aspect of my role as Child Welfare Program Coordinator. I am so excited to have Neva and Tyeisha on our team for the next five weeks!
While they are with Nebraska Appleseed, Tyleisha and Neva will connect with community partners and share their systemic outlook and perspective on the Child Welfare System.
Specifically, Neva will be documenting and researching the Child Welfare case process by interviewing professionals and their involvement through each step of a case.
Tyeisha will be decorating the room of a local youth who has had foster care experience to make their space one that highlights their personality, interests and hobbies.
